What I learned about Life from Death.

In this compelling Ted Talk, Jane Whitlock questions why we treat birth and death so differently. With dry humor, she uses the analogy of a pregnant woman trying to prepare for the birth of her child and being ignored by family and friends, even doctors. She asks why so many people forget to make plans while there is still time, not knowing what is around the next corner. She also shares her experience of learning that her husband was seriously ill and how that altered her perspective on life and gratitude. She explains what she has learned from the game of Life and describes her journey to becoming an end-of-life doula.
